STATIONS AND APPARATUS

Umatilla Fire’s two stations support emergency response across a diverse district, from residential neighborhoods and industrial facilities to highways, wildland areas, and the Columbia and Umatilla rivers.

Station 11 serves as the district’s primary staffed response station and home to our on-duty career crews and resident interns.

Station 12, located in downtown Umatilla, houses apparatus and the Fire Chief’s Office, maintaining an important district presence in the heart of the community.

Our fleet gives crews the ability to fight structural and wildland fires, deliver water where hydrants are unavailable, respond to medical emergencies, perform vehicle extrication, and conduct water rescue operations. Crews use a cross-staffing model, selecting the apparatus needed for each incident. Multiple vehicles provide different capabilities but share available personnel.

Looking ahead, the district envisions expanding Station 12 to better support personnel, equipment, and future service demands. Moving that vision forward will depend on securing funding and building a financially sustainable plan that protects daily emergency services while investing responsibly in the district’s future.
