Fire Protection Systems

Planned correctly. Installed properly. Ready when needed.

Fire protection systems help protect occupants, support emergency response, and reduce property loss. Umatilla Rural Fire Protection District requires these systems in commercial occupancies where required by the applicable fire code.

Requirements depend on the building’s use, size, construction, hazards, and other applicable conditions.

Plan Review & Final Authorization

All proposed fire protection systems must be submitted through the building code official for plan review. Coordinate with the building department before installation or modification to determine the required plans, permits, and approvals.

Following the applicable review, installation, testing, and inspection process, Umatilla Fire is the final point of review for the District’s authorization.

District authorization does not replace permits or approvals required by the building code official or other responsible agencies.

Coordinate early to confirm the requirements for your project before work begins.
