Russell started volunteering for Spokane County Fire District #8 in 2000 as a Firefighter/EMT. He moved to Plymouth, WA in 2019 where he continued his desire to serve his community and started volunteering for Benton County Fire District #6.  In 2022 he saw the opportunity to help at Umatilla Fire and has been dedicated in giving his time to this community as well. Russell enjoys operating heavy equipment, riding dirt bikes, camping, and spending time with his family.
