Welcome to the Umatilla Rural Fire Protection District
The Umatilla Rural Fire Protection District (URFPD) actually services two separate, but overlapping, districts. One of them is the fire district and encompasses 32 square miles; the other is the ambulance district covering 42 square miles. Both of these districts are staffed by a completely volunteer force of firefighters and medics for which the URFPD provides all training.
The URFPD responds to nearly 500 calls for emergency services each year with approximately 85% of these calls being for medical help.
